The person behind it

A first language, a career, and a calling.

Simon Peters grew up as a CODA — a Child of Deaf Adults — with American Sign Language as a first language and Deaf culture as home. Over more than two decades interpreting in the field across Washington State, and after serving in the U.S. military, he founded ASL Connection to build the kind of agency the community deserves.

Raised in the community. Deaf culture, communication modes, and the realities of access are lived experience here, woven into every placement decision.
20+ years in the field. Two decades of professional interpreting inform how assignments are matched, prepared, and supported.
Veteran-owned. A commitment to service and standards carries from the military into how the agency runs.
I founded ASL Connection because the Deaf community deserves more than a scheduling spreadsheet. They deserve an agency that understands their world — because it’s my world too.
